For me, it usually depends on who I’m talking to. Talking to a friend in an easy, relaxed atmosphere is no problem for my voice. However, stressful situations like job interviews or giving a presentation have always wrecked my voice and made it go way up. This actually got a lot better since I started podficcing and I learned that things like posture, breathing, breaks for emphasis make a big difference (Yay! :)

So, I guess it has a lot to do with staying relaxed – and then I have to read the same line 11 times in order to get it just right… *headdesk*
