Why did I miss this?
So, there's apparently been a Swedish-Canadian conference at my university during Monday and Tuesday this week. Talks included:
The “Idea of the North” in Swedish and Canadian Music of the Twentieth Century
Aboriginal Rights? Nunavut and Sweden
Between Nostalgia and Modernity: Cultural Perceptions of the North.
ARRGH, WHY DID I NOT SEE THIS UNTIL THE DAY AFTER? *is very sulky*
I followed the current fandom debate for a while in the beginning, but after a while it just made me down, so I stopped. But, thanks to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
ficfinishing, I'm filled with new fannish energy. It really is awesome to get cheerleading and feedback on your fic while you're writing it, and I'm starting to think I can finish the Martha backstory fic this month. It's growing, and it'll probably be the second longest thing I've ever written.
Also, my sister is visiting this weekend! \o/
