I think general likes + what you enjoy about the canon could make for a good request! I know I've really enjoyed writing for letters like that in the past.
I've pretty much decided on nominating Jill and A Glass of Blessings, but I do not know what my third nomination will be—Flight of the Heron is one amongst several options...
Do you find that the nature of canon influences you that way?
That's a good question! I know that, for instance, for Ewen/Keith I find it harder to write very short fics, simply because of the amount of work required to set up the pairing if you start from things as they are in the book—whereas for Raffles/Bunny, my other most-written ship, you can pretty much dip into canon wherever and just assume they're already together. And I suppose that is related to Raffles being a more episodic canon.
