I've been tagged for [livejournal.com profile] slidellra's C6D tag game, and I'm posting vid recs! I love watching vids, and I thought there might be someone who missed these ones.

Repeat After Me, by [livejournal.com profile] f1renze
Seriously, you have never seen due South look so gay. Okay, so there is additional footage from "Queer as Folk", but still, it only highlights the gayness of Fraser, Ray and Ray. The vid also shows you the uncanny likeness between Miss Fraser and Xena. As a bonus, there is Ray K shadowboxing with lightning bolts coming out of his fists!

I have so much love for this vid. I would say it's in my list of top five due South vids that I love the most, except then I'd get sidetracked and try to write such a list. To be honest, I do think it has a lot to do with how much I love the song. [livejournal.com profile] keerawa uses the lyrics wonderfully, and you can watch it lots of times and still discover new things. It's basically Fraser's story, through all the four seasons of the show. This is also the vid that is responsible for my sister watching due South.

Lord, I Have Made You a Place in My Heart, by Laura Shapiro.
The vid is about halfway down her vid page. Laura Shapiro has made some classic due South vids, like Goody Two Shoes, but I don't see this one mentioned often. I think it's my favorite of hers. In Laura's words, it's about Fraser, loneliness, shame, and hope. I absolutely love the music, too, and she uses it beautifully.

Push, by [livejournal.com profile] fenlings
This is an F/K vid. Watching it is like reading a story, and it really doesn't end happily. Ray pushes and pushes to get Fraser to respect him and trust him, and in the end, it just does not work out. The music is fast and it's cut fast, too, in a way that really conveys the tension, sexual and otherwise, between them. On a more shallow note, check out the part with the handcuffs near the beginning. Guh.

Things I'll never say, by [livejournal.com profile] voiceless009. Originally posted in the comments of [livejournal.com profile] rat_jam.
This vid is pure squee. I swear, I made high-pitched sounds when I first watched it. It's all about Fraser and how he can't express his feelings for Ray K. The vid also uses dialog from the show in a wonderful way: there's one passage where Fraser shows that while he can't confess his feelings, he can certainly talk at length about other things. Yes, the song is by Avril Lavigne, so that it kind of turns Fraser into a teenage girl, but don't let that stop you from watching it! Also, the last scene is just beautifully done.

Midnights and Cups of Coffee, by Miruki Koohii.
The vid is here, about halfway down the page. This is a feelgood vid in the best sense of the word. It's F/K, and contains a lot of the classic F/K moments, but it doesn't focus only on the pairing--it expands to cover most of the characters in S3/S4, catching lovely little moments like Dead!Bob kissing Frannie on the cheek, Ray K reuniting with his father, and Dief flirting with Ante.

Buy Now and Pay Later, by [livejournal.com profile] sdwolfpup
Everyone has watched this, right? I'm reccing it anyway, because there might be someone who hasn't. I never thought I would find a vid for "Victoria's Secret" that I loved as much as "Icebound Stream", but I did. They're very different vids--in this one, the focus is more on Fraser's and Vecchio's relationship and how it's affected by Victoria's return. The lyrics sound like they were written for this episode, and the ending just breaks my heart.
