Looks like I need to check in for Days 8-10, which had been a little bit diffused on an assignment and a lot figured on trying to get more weekly posting queue. And remembering to post what I've got, wheeeeee!

I finished a new and stronger version of the final chapter of Tramps and Vagabonds, which means the book is ready to go out to beta! (Which means I need a new project to work on... Maybe I should finally write that She-Ra fic that I owe someone.)

10: A couple of sentences are a couple of sentences but my weekend starts now so I have hopes for tomorrow.

Day 10 -- a bobble, but I am back on the horse!

Feb 10th - 740 words. A quadruple drabble and edits on 2 fics.

619 more words on the newest original short story, working title: "The Interview." It's a near-future dystopian story.

Another busy day, I squeezed in writing at the end. 400 words today; total wordcount 13,600.

I was mostly editing the finished chapters today (10th), so only about 653 new words, although like yessterday I'll going to add some more as I'm still writing. I ended up with 1,6k for the 9th plus a couple of hours of editing the first draft for sending it off to the beta.

Day 10: a 1.8k exchange fill (needs betaing), meta, and the realisation that I could just write this fic about a cluster of minor characters I like instead of going "no that's not relevant to [main story concept]". xD

Feb 10: made a cover for an upcoming deadline podfic (Awesome Ladies Podfic Anthology) so the equivalent of maybe 50-100 words :)

Day 10 there was a chocolate walk so I only had a short bit of time tonight, got 616 words on Digging Up Bones

Feb 10: 600-odd words on the maybe-treat. Man, it feels good to write more than an alibi sentence again.

Day 10: 644 words on WIP 1! Once I finish a draft of this action scene, I will reward myself with starting a newer, far less plotty fic, lol.

I'm a fan of writing early in the day, primarily because my brain works better early in the day. But early writing times also provide a cushion against my routine being upset by whatever: it is far easier to make up a missed customary writing time when the greater part of the day is still before me. But grain of salt, of course: writing practices are so idiosyncratic that one person's solutions don't necessarily apply to anyone else.
