Podfic: American Way, by Resonant

Title: American Way
Author: [livejournal.com profile] resonant8
Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski
Rating: NC-17
Format: mp3, 128 kbps
Length: 2 h 21 m 40 s, 129.7 mb
Notes: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] resonant8 for letting me record this classic story! It was a joy to read. Also, it felt kind of fun on a meta level, since I'm a non-American trying to sound like an American. *g*

This podfic is dedicated to [livejournal.com profile] akamine_chan, who is a wonderfully generous person and deserves lots of presents. About halfway through recording it, I saw that she had a podfic of "American Way" on her fannish wish list, so I have to confess it wasn't originally intended as a present for her. But if I'd seen her list before that, I would definitely have chosen to record something on it. I hope you enjoy it, aka!

Download the whole thing at Sendspace, or at the podfic archive.

Or in shorter pieces: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, and Part 5.

Also available as podbook with a lovely cover by cybel: at Sendspace or at the podfic archive.

Oh, [livejournal.com profile] luzula, thank you so much for doing this podfic. It really is one of my favorite stories.

You're such a sweet thing and thank you for all the kind words. I'm gonna be listening to this as a write my way through my holiday assignments this weekend.

*hugs you*

Thank you for this - it really made my day. I was likely grinning like an idiot into my really boring report for much of the afternoon.

I actually hadn't read the story. I know, I know, but I'm pretty new to the fandom and have been getting nearly all of my fic via podfic. So I may be the only person in the universe that it was new to.

One of my favorite things about listening to podfic is getting it via the reader's "I love this fic so much that I spent all this time recording it" filter - the fic is usually brilliant to start with, but the podficing process makes it practically glow.

Well, that, and I totally have a thing for messy Fraser with tousled hair and comfy clothes.

Awesome. I've never read American Way, but [livejournal.com profile] resonant8's stories are great, and I'm sure this one will be no exception. I've liked your stuff since I listened to Academic Punk while grocery shopping and laughed out loud at the Canada jokes. (I'm Canadian.) I'm curious, what's your accent? You have an excellent voice for podficcing, it's quite pleasant to listen to and you enunciate clearly enough that it's easy to understand everything.

*downloads to listen to while grocery shopping tomorrow - it helps me pretend my fellow shoppers aren't there, and if they are, that they aren't blocking my path with their carts* :)

There is nothing in the world that could have made a Monday afternoon better than this. It's a good thing data-entry gimpwork doesn't require a brain, because mine short-circuited pretty early on.

This was awesome. I love your accent, your emphases, your breathy sex scenes. This was an awesome story, read with your usual flair and wondrousness. Thank you so much!
