Just to pick one category among many, look at all their aubergine varieties! Even through bad machine translation it's stunning. Ahem. Did you procrastinate write today?

Oh, wow, I definitely spent too long looking through all the different varieties of fruit and veg! I was intrigued by "Katzenlieblinge" (Cat favourites) for, what I assume, is plants cats enjoy :D

Lol! I can relate! There's a nature preserve here that has an annual native plants sale in February, and I absolutely spend SO much time scrolling my choices before picking what I want to plant. So much daydreaming about gardens of the future!

On Day 12, I had another snow day (yay!), and I added 305 words to the story that began as a writing exercise yesterday. The working title is "Maisie and the Snow Day," and it's about a 12-year-old girl who encounters her bullies at the park on the titular snow day. Maisie has only just gotten to the park, so I left it there for now, percolating what I want to have happen in the encounter and how I want it to resolve. I think Maisie is going to win the day, but I haven't decided how that will happen.

The daydreaming is an important part of the fun. : ) And good work on the new story!

Dec 12th - 797 words, two double drabbles and work on two other fics, the one I WAS going to post before I decided it needed too much work, and the one I DID post, which only needed a few minor tweaks.

Day 11: Didn't write.

Day 12: 88 words. Probably would have been more, but I went down a rabbit hole on techniques of painting, printmaking, and gilding and ran out of time.

Ooh, gilding. I do bookbinding, and would love to stamp titles on the covers, but have not prioritized learning that so far.

The pictures are fabulous and I always think of the line I read once - "It's the customers, not the plants, that are being bedded"!

It's so long since I grew veggies. That was in the first year of the pandemic and I had so many I had to put some in a box on my front hedge for passers-by. It was always nice when they disappeared.
