My Amplificathon podfics

All right, these are my [livejournal.com profile] amplificathon podfics, sorted into convenient categories. The links go to the amplificathon posts, and you can scroll down to the comments to find permanent links, if the temporary ones have expired. I've marked with an asterisk the ones I think can be listened to even if you don't know the canon at all (although it's hard to draw the line sometimes).

Also, consider all of these podfics as story recs, as well! I love all these stories. If you're wondering why there are only three due South stories in here, that's because the challenge is geared toward rare fandoms. Due South is one of the three fandoms that have the most podfic, and so gives very little points. Apparently I do care about the points, but I don't think I'm going to end up in the top three this year. The competition was fierce.

I'm kind of relieved that it's over. Maybe I'll do some other podfic project for next year's contest, but I'm not doing this kind of point-maximizing again (not that I did that, exactly--to maximize points, one would read lots of drabbles). I think my reading has gotten better, though--this has given me a lot of practise at reading different kinds of characters and fandoms. So I don't regret it. My singing lessons have been helping a lot, too, in giving my voice more support.

Feedback makes me happy (although a simple comment telling me what you're downloading makes me happy, too)! I think my reading has speeded up some--please tell me what you think of that.

I know that podfics are not commented on nearly enough, I just want to say I am in awe of your ability to gather so many excellent, multiple fandom fics to read from. I think you have a wonderful voice, improving all the time to a steady, lyrical tone. I appreciate all that you bring to your readings. I enjoyed most the Generation Kill readings- a fandom I did not know is now one I have a strong liking for. I listen to podfics when I am trying to clean house- a chore that is made much more pleasant with narrative! Of the other podfics of yours, I really liked the Good Omens reading and, of course, Astolat's work as these were also favorites I had read. Thefourthvine's story was my next favorite of your works for Amplification 2010. Thank you for all these podfics you read, and for the others I have not yet listened to- <3 <3 <3

Having now (finally!) had the time to sit down and give your reading of Three From the Track a listen, I wanted to tell you that, oh my god, I adore it. Your reading voice is soothing in the best possible way, and you got down exactly the perfect cadence for the sort of story I was trying to tell. I'm sure that in part it's just because I'm having it presented in a fresh way, too, but your reading made me like the story a whole lot more (less critical of my own work because it's a degree separated, maybe?). In any case, thank you so very much for reading it; I love it, I love it. And now I think I want to go download everything else you read, because I want to hear you read more fic. :D
