Yeah, AO3's been aware of this bug for ages. I'm not sure whether fixing it requires a massive overhaul of how they process tags or else just that it's such a minor thing that it's at the bottom of the list to get to eventually. (I suspect it's the former.) It's unfortunate, because with real numbers it is a fascinating meme!
