Two podfics!
Feb. 22nd, 2013 05:53 pmOkay, so, one of my long podfic collaborations is finally done! \o/ Haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but I am really looking forward to it.
Title: Sixteen Days in September
Author:
tevere
Reader:
fandomfan,
podcath,
chemm80,
knight_tracer,
luzula and
dodificus
Fandom: Generation Kill
Pairing: Brad/Nate with ensemble
Rating: R
Length: 4 h 45 m 00 s
Author's summary: When Peace Corps assigns Nate to East Timor, a tiny half-island in eastern Indonesia, he figures he'll have a lot of time to catch up on his reading. But the year is 1999, and the shock fall of military dictator Suharto is still reverberating throughout the country, triggering changes nobody ever thought possible. As East Timor moves inexorably towards freedom – or war – Nate is drawn into events that will define the future of the province forever. This is a war story, and as such contains some violence, civilian deaths including children, and a non-explicit reference to sexual violence. If you're all right with canon, you should be right with this.
Notes: This story is well worth listening to even if you're not in the fandom--it was my gateway fic into the fandom, before I'd seen the canon. Final editing by
podcath, podbook cover by
aneas.
Download: (mp3s, zipped, 128.27 MB) and (m4b, zipped, 131.11 MB)
Also, here's a short podfic I recorded for the Awesome Ladies Podfic Anthology:
Title: For She Desires Questioning More than Sacrifices
Author:
raspberryhunter
Fandom: The Bible, Abraham's Daughter (song), 16th century RPF
Characters: Abraham's daughter, the Virgin Mary, genderswitched version of William Tyndale
Rating: G
Length: 6 m 2 s
Author's summary: The effects of Abraham's daughter's actions, down the ages.
Notes: This is a little gem from this year's Yuletide! It's an intriguing AU of Christianity as a whole, featuring feminism and critical thinking.
