luzula: a Luzula pilosa, or hairy wood-rush (Default)
- A toothbrush (easily replaced).
- My butterfly net (I lose at least one each year and will make a new one from a stick, some metal twine and toile, but it's a bit of a bother each time it happens).
- My GPS (forgotten at a friend's place, so I'll get it back, including all the waypoints for species that it contains).
- My mosquito hat (which was fairly easily replaced).
- Possibly my mite hat with finer net, I had it recently but can't find it now (don't know how hard it is to replace?)
- A pair of good black woolen socks (annoying, but I can buy new ones).
- A pair of cheap gloves for climbing (which turned up again on unpacking).

...I swear I'm not usually quite this absent-minded.

I'm very happy with my week-long forest inventory trip though! I was out with someone I've been wanting to get to know, and we worked very well together and had a great time. I think I made a new friend. ♥ Also, I've seen some great forests, though they're threatened and embedded in a very fragmented landscape full of clear-cuts and plantations. : /
