Fic: "The Flight of Dragons" (Flight of the Heron)

I posted the Temeraire fusion! This story is...fine, I think? but not one of the stories closest to my heart, I guess because I'm just adding dragons to the plot of canon (of one day of canon, really). But hey, it was still fun to play around with dragon characters.

There are no characters from Temeraire in this story; I'm only borrowing the worldbuilding. And actually, adding a fair amount of worldbuilding--Temeraire canon seems to have no conception that Britain was ever anything but one unified nation, and that there were several civil wars which would have been well within the memory of dragons. If you come from Temeraire fandom, you can read it if you're curious about how things might have stood at the outset of the 1745 rebellion.

I labelled the story as gen, as there is no focus on any romantic relationships, but rather on the relationships between humans and dragons. Otherwise it's got the same relationships as in the beginning of canon: Ewen and Alison are betrothed in the background, and Keith as usual thinks admiring thoughts about Ewen.
