I feel so empowered right now

I and a friend of mine were helping Greenpeace today in a meeting with a forest company and in a contested forest. The thing is, Greenpeace has the campaigning muscles, but their people don't really have the knowledge of threatened species and forest ecology that I and others have. I haven't done this kind of meeting in quite some time, and I was nervous beforehand, because I wasn't sure if I could cope with this sort of debate. But I really could! The company was so full of shit and I could so easily see through their bullshit and puncture it. I really enjoyed it.

We were three people from the environmental movement (all women), five people from the company (all men), and also seven people from the authorities (mixed). The people from the authorities were all wishy-washy and deferred to the company. /o\ But the three of us were awesome and covered for each other really well and had slightly different angles and contributions. \o/
