The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri (2021)
For book club. This was a fantasy brick which I felt as though I ought to have enjoyed more than I did? It has a sort-of enemies-to-lovers f/f relationship, between a captive princess and her maid, who is also a priestess with magic powers, from a country which is subordinate to the princess'. I like how many women there are with complicated pasts and agendas! But sadly, I found myself skimming a little towards the end. Ah well, we can't always pin down why some books grab us and some don't.

An Honourable Estate by L A Hall (2018, #10 in the Comfortable Courtesan series)
I broke out the comfort reading when I got that dreadful cold, which was entirely the right thing to do. I have a habit of saving things up when I know I'll enjoy them, but really, with all the spin-offs that exist for this series, I really don't need to.

I've also been reading Yuletide fic. I'm done with all the <5K fics that I had open in tabs, and am making inroads on the longer ones I put on my ereader. Maybe I'll actually manage a recs post at some point.
