simplystars's wonderful About A Girl, which is also Thatcher gen. I struggled with it quite a bit. My idea was that Stars' fic had been all about showing us Thatcher's own POV, and instead I'd shift the POV and show other people's images of her. Specifically, I wanted to show how she's always being evaluated (mostly by men). It was interesting to write documentation fic, and I like parts of it, such as Henri Cloutier's revenge on her for turning him down, and also the bit with Fraser evaluating himself instead of her. But as a whole, I feel like there's something lacking, although I don't know what. Maybe it's just that it was very slow to write, and I never got any flow in the writing. Ah well. I'm glad I signed up, though, and I'll definitely do it again. Oh, and thanks to my beta readers akamine_chan and wintercreek!
I already told you all how much I loved Making a Place at Your Side (The Lie Down with Wolves Remix), which was the remix I received. Also, I was right that it had been written by Spuffy! God, I love her writing.
