Co-mod needed!

Would anyone like to co-mod the due South panel at Bitching Party with me? I don't really want to mod it, but they need mods, and I don't want to do it alone.

I have no problem with talking in front of large groups of people (I'm a teacher, after all), but even though I've been to one con, I don't feel like I have a grasp on how you're supposed to organize a panel and what you're supposed to do as a mod.

Or, you know, if you have ideas/opinions even if you're not going to the con, I'll be glad to hear them.

I thought I was going to end up being overextended (I offered to help with the Star Trek and/or Comics panels!), but it looks like right now it's just the Kink panel! So, I'd be up for helping, and Ande said she'd help if others didn't step forward, and I was thinking of asking Spuffy... :)

I have no idea how to organize a panel, but I figure enthusiasm counts for something? :D?

I know, I can't believe I'm doing two! It's the reason I didn't step up for this one - due South panels are definitely fun to run!

Oh, yay, actual qualified volunteers! I've never been to a con before, so I don't think I'd be much help with the How You're Supposed To Do It thing. But if there's anything you guys need that I can do, let me know. I'm helping Miz with the AU panel, but should have time for other things. =)

Right now, or in general? : )

I am fairly organized and calm, so maybe we will complement each other? My main problem is that I have no idea what we're supposed to do at the panel (besides talk about due South, obviously). Also I am bad at being, well, peppy and enthusiastic when I speak in front of people. Maybe it's my Swedish reserve. *g*

Maybe we could all get together and brainstorm over chat some time?

I figure we do a quick QUICK show synopsis, talk about how we got to dS, and list off some of the ongoing challenges (snippets, the kinkmeme, bigbang). Then we can move on to wishlist projects and solicit help from the audience: what would you like to see happen in dS fandom? It seems like we have a lot of active podficcers, how about a Podfic Exchange? And we could maybe glean some ideas on what to do with duesouth while we're at it. :)

Yeah, talking about ongoing challenges/community stuff definitely sounds good! And brainstorming what people want to do. \o/

Slightly OT: Hmm, did you see that I asked the dS/C6D Big Bang mods if we could open the challenge up to fanworks other than writing? That way you could record a podfic as a primary entry, for example. They seemed to like the idea.

Hey, I could co-mod with you, I think, since I'm not running one of my own this year. Caveat, though: I will be coming to the con straight out of HELL TIME and won't have tonnes of lead-time to be on-line for planning purposes, but if you can be okay with a quick pre-panel meeting for brainstorming and planning, I'm up for it. If you want someone who will be more present leading up to the con, and would rather not leave things as up in the air as I'm likely to be, that's totally fine, and I won't be the least bit put-out. Choose who will be best for you, yeah?
