I am safely in the US! My friends who I am staying with picked me up at the airport, bless them. They are an awesome couple in their sixties who are basically my American adopted parents. We're going cross-country skiing tomorrow! \o/
I do not actually feel very tired, even though it's 5:30 in the morning Swedish time. Going to bed now though, and hoping to wake up the correct time tomorrow.
Seattle people, if you want to hang out in the beginning/middle of the week, let me know!

Date: 2012-03-25 12:01 am (UTC)Anyway, I am so looking forward to meeting you again!
I was just at this little reconstructed wetland area in the middle of Seattle, just a few blocks from where I'm staying, and it was so cool. There were turtles sunning themselves! Turtles are so exotic to me. Also lots of ducks--I will have to get a bird guide, although there were lots of helpful birdwatchers there to help me.

Date: 2012-03-25 03:49 am (UTC)I was going to try to send you the Mt. Rainier webcam links, but they're all down- and possibly snowed under. I was looking at The Mountain this afternoon, and there's no rock visible anywhere. This is White Pass Summit (http://www.wsdot.com/traffic/cameras/trafficcam.htm?camurl=http://images.wsdot.wa.gov/whitepass/whitepass.jpg) on the south side of Mt.Rainier and the closest webcam to the Park- I-90 is on the north side and well away from the mountain itself.
Julia, we'll hope for not-rain!
