Snippety + talking about a WIP

The Benton-goes-to-Depot story is growing--just the part before he goes to Depot will probably be something like 10.000 words! I feel all accomplished writing something that long, and it's a lot of fun. I just wish my hands were in better condition so I could do it faster.

Anyway, the pre-Depot part is not quite ready for beta yet, but I thought I'd ask anyway, so I know: is there anyone who feels like beta reading when I've finished that bit? It's mostly gen, but also has some Fraser/Eric.

Also, I wrote a snippet, which I posted and then took the bus to town, after which I realized that I had written the word "especially" in two consecutive sentences. *facepalm* Maybe I should've sent it for an extra beta round...one of them is edited out now, anyway.

I kind of feel bad about the other half-finished story you beta-read, which has still not progressed beyond that point (but I did find your advice helpful!). Arrgh. I tend to write part of a story, and then not be able to write on it for months, but then come back and write more on it, so I'm pretty sure it'll get finished some day, at least.
