luzulaI am excited for dSSS this year, and I would be equally thrilled with any request that got filled! I tried to give a sense of what I'd enjoy for each character or pairing, but please don't feel constrained by any of the specific suggestions. Just have fun writing and I am sure I will love it!
1) Bob/Buck/Caroline
I know I put this as the pairing, but you don't have to write all three of them together if you don't want to. Really, any relationship configuration is fine as long as there is love and fondness of some sort between them all! You could write gen if you don't feel like focusing on any pairings, or Bob/Caroline + Buck/Caroline with Bob and Buck as friends and partners, or prior Bob/Buck with Caroline coming in later, or whatever you like! There are so many possibilities.
You could write something angsty if that's what you want (canon is angsty, after all, what with Caroline dying), but you could also ignore the angst and write romance or light-hearted, goofy casefic. Or an AU in which Caroline doesn't die! That would also be awesome. Feel free to include Benton or not. As long as all three of them are there somehow (even if only by letter or in someone's thoughts) I will be so happy.
2) Maggie MacKenzie
I really like Maggie, and wish she'd been in more episodes. I'd love something with her getting to know Fraser better, and exploring their family history together. Maggie's mom could have been Fraser's step-mom--what is she like? Will Maggie get to know Bob better? Or you could write a casefic, maybe with Maggie working with Fraser? Would they work well together? Maggie seems like she's got a ruthless streak that could be interesting to explore. Are her moral principles as strong as Fraser's?
3) Frannie Vecchio
I'd love some Frannie backstory! What was she like in her teenage years? What about her marriage and divorce? What was her relationship with Ray V like when they were younger? Did Frannie and Irene Zuko know each other? Or you could write me Frannie at the Academy, or Frannie working a case. I love Frannie and Elaine together, as friends or as a couple. About the only thing I don't want is Frannie spending all her time mooning over Fraser (although I love it when they are friends).
Or you could combine this with my second request and write me some Maggie/Frannie! Frannie obviously has a weakness for polite Mounties, and Maggie could use someone with Frannie's sense of fun and her willingness to go for what she wants.
I hope this gives you some ideas! If you want to know more about my general tastes, I like everything from romance to light and funny stories to fairly dark stories. My do-not-wants are: non-con, jealousy/possessiveness written as something positive, incest, and relationships with one person underage and one much older. If in doubt, ask someone who knows me! I am fond of plotty stories, magical realism, landscape descriptions, and epistolary/documentary stories (but don't feel like you necessarily have to work these elements in).
