luzula: a Luzula pilosa, or hairy wood-rush (Default)

You know how sometimes you write something that pushes your own emotional buttons so hard it's almost embarrassing? That would be this story. Or maybe it's just that I wrote it so fast that I'm still in the "ooh, best story I wrote ever" phase of the writing (instead of the "god, I'm so stuck on this story and it's never going to be finished" phase).

Yeah, and witness again my obsession with dogsledding. Also, this is in fact another first time story! I think I'm beginning to find those easier to write.

Title: Shifting
Author: Luzula
Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski
Rating: R
Length: about 3800 words
Summary: It's easy to slip between shapes at the full moon—or hard not to do it, is perhaps the better way to put it. I couldn't have stayed human tonight, even had I wanted to.
