Heading for the mountains

I am leaving to work in the mountains tomorrow (but I won't lose internet until Thursday morning)! For those of you who are new to my flist/circle, this is something I do every year. I do fieldwork in biology at a research station in the north of Sweden, above the Arctic Circle. It's something I dearly love: I get to be alone (I'm the only one there most of the time) and write and read and hike around and do interesting work. It's so beautiful up there.

Anyway, there might (or might not) be postcards? So if you want one, send me your address at luzulae@gmail.com! If you've given it to me before, I still have it.

I'll be back on the 2nd of July. Oh, and also: you may remember that I was worried about a possible job interview and whether they would be content with a phone interview, because it's a huge hassle to get down from the research station. And now they got back to me and said that would be okay! I am so relieved.

Me too! Living in a shared household like I do, I just love having that time to myself. I mean, I love my shared household, but I need that alone-time, too.

Thanks! And I don't actually know yet if I'll be called for an interview--they basically said "this is the date we'll have interviews, and we'll tell you a week beforehand if you get called". We'll see.
