Notes: Thanks to the author for letting me record it, and thanks to malnpudl for tracking down the correct pronunciation of "Mamet" for me! This is probably the most challenging podfic I've recorded so far, but I couldn't resist giving it a try. I'm not convinced I did it justice, but I did my best. When I first read it, this story just grabbed hold of me and didn't let go. What had happened to Ray here almost broke my heart. But don't let that stop you from reading/listening to it--I promise there isn't just angst in this.

Yeah, it was kind of ambitious, and at times it felt like I'd taken on too much--there's lots of different characters, and action scenes, and strong emotions. I might possibly be overacting.

Anyway, I'm glad there's an audience for it, and I hope you enjoy it!

This is one of my older podfics, and re-listening to a bit of it now, I don't really like the reading anymore. *facepalm* Maybe I should be happy that I've gotten better since then? I'll try to think of it that way.

I know what you mean, I feel that way about some of the things I recorded early on and without the audio quality that comes with a real mic, etc. But, I'm sure it is better than you think it is, we're our own worst critics, aren't we?
