Yay, we share a small fandom! I tried to give a sense of my tastes in each fandom, but please don't feel constrained by any of the specific suggestions. Just have fun writing and I am sure I will love it!

Papillon (1973) (Henri "Papillon" Charrière, Louis Dega)

This fandom currently has no offers, so let me just tell you about it in case we matched on something else and you're not sure you want to write that. This is an awesome movie with Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman being prisoners in a colonial prison in the 1930's. They originally start working together because Hoffman's character needs protection and McQueen's character needs money, but then they fall in love start caring about each other. Seriously, this movie is the slashiest thing I have ever seen! There is hurt/comfort while they rest bare-chested in each other's arms, there is loyalty against all odds, there are long tender hugs.

Okay, so obviously I really want slash here. It could be post-movie with them being crotchety old men together, it could be a missing scene, or you could show me what's going on inside either of their heads during the movie. Don't feel you have to write me sex (although I wouldn't say no to it!)--I am just as happy with something that is as gen as the movie is, as long as it's about their connection somehow.

The Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon (Paksenarrion)

Basically, I just love Paksenarrion and want more stories about her. The Paksenarrion books are comfort reading for me, and I love following Paks' character development through the book. I also love that the books are so entirely gen, and that Paks is basically asexual without much fuss being made of it, because that's not what the story is about. So please, no romance or sex involving Paksenarrion!

You could write about one of her quests just after the ending of the book, or a glimpse of her when she's older and more experienced. I think my dream story in this fandom would be a fic in which Paksenarrion was older and had a female paladin-candidate, because I love stories about older woman-younger woman mentor relationships. But if that doesn't appeal to your muse, just go with whatever does! For example, much as I love Paks POV, an outside POV of her would be cool, too--like, someone she inspires during a quest, for example. I'm also fascinated by the Kuakganni, and something involving them would be interesting. I've read the first two books of the recent trilogy, so feel free to draw on that material if you really want to, but I like the original trilogy much better.

The Charioteer, by Mary Renault (Andrew Raynes, Laurie Odell)

So I really shipped these two in the book, and was surprised to discover that despite the fair amount of fics that existed in the fandom, NONE of them had Andrew/Laurie as the main pairing. Obviously this must be rectified! I was kind of annoyed by Laurie's "I must protect Andrew from the gayness!" attitude, and would love to see Andrew getting to make some choices of his own. What would've happened if that moment in the kitchen hadn't been interrupted? What kind of relationship would Laurie and Andrew develop? Could Andrew reconcile homosexuality with his Quaker faith? If you don't want to write Laurie/Andrew, I would also be happy with gen, as long as you focus on Laurie and Andrew interacting! I do also like Laurie/Ralph, but since it's so overwhelmingly popular in the fandom and I want to focus on Laurie and Andrew, I'd prefer not to get a fic with background Laurie/Ralph.

Hadestown (Persephone, Eurydice)

I'd love these two interacting, with either gen or femslash. What happens with Eurydice in Hadestown? She seems like a bit of an innocent in the beginning of the story, so how does she develop when she's down there? What is Persephone's role in the underground like? Persephone appears to be giving some relief to the people living in Hadestown, but how much is she "on Hades' side"? I love the bit where she says "there's a crack in the wall", and I'm intrigued by the hints of social unrest in canon. It would be awesome if you wrote me the story of the revolution in Hadestown! In my head, I somehow associate Hadestown with Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, I guess because both are set during depression times. So if you want to write me Eurydice being a union organizer in Hadestown, I would love that!

I also love the worldbuilding, so anything you do with that would be awesome. Given the canon, I'm not expecting (or wanting) happy fluff, although I would love something that's at least hopeful.
