Teaching woes

Don't feel you have to reply to this, I'm just venting. Somehow it's a comfort to throw my complaints out on the Internet.

I do actually like teaching, but I've been doing it for three days now, and I feel halfway dead. It's like the students are sitting there like earnest little vampires, sucking out my energy and reducing my voice to a hoarse whisper. And there are 120 of them. Luckily there's a PA system in the lecture hall, so I don't have to shout, but still, four hours kind of take it out of you. And god, I have two more months of this. I hope it'll get easier.

Also, I will have to grade a total of 4 * 120 = 480 exams, since there are three mini-exams before the big exam.

Anyway. Now there is weekend! \o/

Urk. THe problem with lectures is that the teacher ends up doing a lot of work and thinking. THe students? Not so much.

My sympathies on the grading. Troyswaan's "graaaaaaaaaaading" whine just about sums up my thoughts on the matter. *hugs*

Yeah, and it's worse when there are so many of them. I mean, I try to involve them, but it's always the bright ones in the first row that answer. I have no idea what the ones in the back are thinking.

Thanks for the hug. My boyfriend is away for a week, so I'm a bit hug-deprived.

Thanks! Yeah, I hope so. I'm actually wondering if I have some kind of stealth cold that's making me extra tired. I will rest up during the weekend.
