Fannish achievements

I'm dogsitting at my parents' house this weekend, and it's proving a quite productive weekend. Besides dog-cuddling, dog-walking, and crossing various RL tasks off my to-do list, I have done the following fannish things:

- finished the draft of my C6DVD card and sent it to beta
- beta-read seascribe's delicious Vecchio/Cortez fic (do go read it!)
- posted my Pod-Together lightning round podfic, which is a collaboration with feroxargentea (the collection won't be revealed until January 31st, though)
- watched Pacific Rim on my parent's huge flat-screen TV, which I was inspired to do by this vid, which was recently recced by cantarina. OMG, go watch that vid, it's so good! And I quite enjoyed the movie, although it felt kind of weird with a live-action mecha movie--I think of it as an anime genre. Would take recs for gen fics about Mako Mori?

Ack, I need to make my C6D VD card TODAY. I have the visual down, it's just the WORDS that are foiling me (also the writing, my handwriting is NOT cutting it).

Good luck with the C6DVD card! You can do it. : ) And yeah, I need to do some craft-type things for mine, as well (as for handwriting, I have just resigned myself to the fact that my handwriting will never look like the handwriting of a North American.)

All of the dog things! Excellent! You sound like you've been very productive (I would not be that productive if there were dogs around, that's for sure).

Pacific Rim! Oooh and a vid rec. I haven't watched any Pacific Rim vids yet (which is strange, now I come to think of it, seeing as fanvids are some of my favourite things). I thoroughly enjoyed Pacific Rim, although it wasn't at all what I was expecting from the trailers that I saw, which didn't make me want to see it at all! (I only went because people on tumblr were raving about it. Definitely a good decision.)

Well, the dog did do his best to distract me? He's just very cuddly, and turns up his belly when you just look at him. Aww.
