Happy International Women's Day! \o/
Mar. 8th, 2014 04:53 pmI went to the feminist demonstration in my town and got my mom to go with me. She was unexpectedly good at shouting slogans! I'm very bad at it, because I got my voice wrecked once and I'm afraid to strain it. Mom, OTOH, has one of those strong voices which cut through everything--she was a teacher before she retired.
Anyway, there was one slogan against RUT, which is a reform that offers subsidies for people who employ household help (for cleaning, etc). I am against it because it basically subsidizes rich people. Mom isn't sure what she thinks. But she shouted along with the slogan, and then I said, hey, I thought you were undecided on that one? And she went "But the slogan was just so catchy! I couldn't resist." Hee.
Also, I feel like today is a good day to write more on my C6D Ladies Day fic.

Is the RUT not useful for people who pay for personal care assistants?
