Gifts and administration
Jul. 5th, 2008 02:57 pmI was away from the internet on More Joy Day, so I couldn't participate. Instead, I was out sailing with my parents and sister, which was great, and I hope I gave them some joy. Anyway,
vsee gave me a lovely daisy--thank you! Also, I got an anonymously written ficlet where Fraser is grooming Dief, who's losing his winter coat. I loved it--it was such a sweet way to show the bond between them. Thank you, whoever you are. : )
Otherwise, I feel like my life is mostly administration right now. I am unemployed for ten days or so, and you wouldn't believe the amount of paperwork that involves. Plus, I have mislaid some important papers from my previous employer and I REALLY need to find them. Also, I've decided to leave the union I'm in right now (because I don't like their political views) and join another one. But my insurances are tied to my union (and they are also student insurances--I am no longer a student), and so I have to find new ones. Etc, etc.
These things suck. Maybe you could take that as one definition of being an adult--that you have to administrate your own life? So, thanks for the gifts. I needed them right now. : )
