Birthday and snippets

Oops, forgot to cross-post...

Thanks for the birthday wishes, people! I had a nice birthday--I was outdoors a lot, and then ate chocolate fudge brownie ice cream when I got home.

There are no leaves on the trees here yet, but the snow is mostly gone, except for some shadowy parts of the forest. The willows are flowering, and the bumblebee queens have woken up and are industriously harvesting the willow pollen. And I saw flowering Luzula pilosa (see my icon)!

Also, I wrote two little snippets--Closet, where Maggie and Frannie make out in the supply closet, and Roots, a little F/K/V snippet that totally surprised me. I, um, wrote it in ten minutes and then posted it. Probably I should've tried to get these beta-read before the deadline tonight, but it's my birthday and I was self-indulgent.
