Self-reccing for [personal profile] akamine_chan's snowflake challenge. Since I'm doing my year's end review soon, I'll pick a couple of works from previous years, one for each type of fanwork I've done.

Fic: Missing Pages: Caroline leaves something behind. Written for [community profile] ds_flashfiction's diary challenge. due South, Fraser and Caroline gen, 1000 words, PG (AO3 link)

This story made me cry when I wrote it. It's about Fraser finding his mother's journals, and there's also a scene with Dief that I love.

Podfic: Sometimes on the Rarest Nights by [livejournal.com profile] clionaeilis (Gosford Park, Mabel Nesbitt and Ivor Novello gen, G, 48m)

This is quite a rare fandom, and I have to admit that I haven't actually seen the movie it's based on. I still love the story, though--it's a story about a friendship, about two people being quietly good for each other through the years, and it warms my heart. It's also an epistolary story, and I love to podfic those. There's something about reading a letter which allows you to get into the letter-writer's POV in an interesting way, and I loved reading Ivor Novello (although I have no idea if I sound like the actor in the movie, or like the real man, for that matter).

Filk song: The Mountie and the Skogsrå: A Fraser/Victoria ballad, based on a traditional Swedish medieval ballad. due South, PG-13

This kind of music is very close to my heart--I've listened to and sung Swedish folk music since I was young, and I loved bringing it together with the due South world.

My Yuletide story was written by [archiveofourown.org profile] Borusa and my dSSS story was written by [profile] dessert_first. Thank you so much, both of you! I loved both my stories. ♥

Besides my two main gifts, I also got a Paksenarrion drabble that I loved! It's got just the elements I wanted in a Paksenarrion fic. Also, it was written by [personal profile] keerawa, which I suspected. Thank you!

For due South Seekrit Santa I wrote Slow Burn (Fraser/Thatcher, 5,700 words, NC-17) for [personal profile] wintercreek. It was fun to write, and I especially enjoyed writing the porn. I did kind of lose confidence in it towards the end--I don't know why exactly, maybe it was just the natural up and down of my writing brain--but [personal profile] malnpudl got me back on track. [personal profile] akamine_chan also gave me feedback that improved the fic, and I am grateful to them both! ♥

For Yuletide I wrote The End and the Way (Left Hand of Darkness gen, 12,200 words, PG-13) for [personal profile] bliumchik.

tl;dr about this fic )
