Fix things Friday
Feb. 3rd, 2017 07:45 pmDuring the last two weeks I have:
- Called new union members to welcome them and encourage them to come to the intro meeting, and then held the intro meeting.
- Recruited people to arrange a study trip to Sweden with forest activists from Russia and Finland which we have got grant money for.
- A LOT of phone calls and emails, I really can't categorize them all, but they were about giving feedback on various drafts, handling our ongoing court case, replying to external emails to environmental org, etc.
- Decided not to stay on the environmental org board after the annual meeting (I've been on it for six years), and instead be a candidate for the union board (which practically speaking means I will be on that board).
That last involved some stress, which I will probably make a separate post about. And now I will be visiting with friends all weekend which I am very much looking forward to, as a distraction from the stressful stuff.
