Hmmm. The premise is that women develop the power to give electric shocks with their hands. Cue social change, ( spoilers ). Good audiobook reader, but a rather bleak book.
The Nature of a Pirate by A. M. Dellamonica (#3 in the Stormwrack series, 2016)
Maybe I was more in the mood for a fantasy romp? I wish there were more of these, they are good entertainment.
Also I read The Invisible Valley by Su Wei for book club, but the meeting was put off, so I will wait to write it up.
