It's satisfying to finally get the last book in this series; now if only the Steerswoman books could be finished as well. It's been a while since I read the other books, but I got into it quickly again. These books have a quality where I enjoy them but at the same time find certain plot events and people a bit inexplicable, but I suspect that's partly intentional, what with the various different elemental logics. I do appreciate the theme of working at reconciliation and reparations between different peoples even where great harm has been done. And the epilogue is beautiful.

I still know nothing of the actual Transformers. I don't even know what they look like. But this fic is awesome.
