I and my two flatmates are having a party. I just sent out an invitation email, and it was so hard to decide who to invite from work! I keep thinking people will be like "why on earth did she invite me?" or "why didn't she invite that person?".

Why are we having a party, I don't know why I thought that was a good idea. But too late, I have sent the email. *hides under the desk*

Party throwing is HAAAAAARD.

Best wishes, and I hope you get a great nights' sleep.

Socializing with more people that you can count on one hand is hard. This is a truth that took me decades to distill. Sometimes I'm slow.

Exactly! I totally get that. I could work my 4-day corporate convention with 2000 people, all at once or in subsets, and it was fine -- exhilarating, even. I was doing a job; I had a role to play and a structure to work around.

Parties are, indeed, much harder.

Huh, I went through this same thought process with a party I hosted about a month ago. *commiserates*
