A compliment to me, sort-of

Recently a reply to one of my debate articles contained the words: "too many people are listening to [insert Luz' real name]".

Ahahaha. I will take that as a compliment, although actually I suppose he's talking about my branch of the environmental movement in general.

Ha ha, well. Actually this debate was really weird, in that I feel like the person I was debating with had a lot in common with me, and if he'd been less confrontative we could've found that common ground. But he kept talking past me and not replying to what I actually said, which is sadly very common in public debates. /o\

Mostly I feel like I am a force reminding them to fill in the Doodle to find meeting times, but those forces are also needed.

ETA: Upon reflection, that's not fair to myself. I do not only do the practical organizing stuff--I write and do other stuff as well.

Ha ha, well. It was actually kind of a weird debate--like, we had stuff in common, and if only he hadn't been so confrontative I feel like we could've agreed on a lot of things. Ah well. There are other people I consider my nemeses, though. : )
