Aside from Yuletide, that is...

Tao Te Ching: A Book About the Way and the Power of the Way by Lao Tzu, translated by Ursula K. Le Guin
Reread. I love it when you start reading the right book at the right time, as opposed to starting something and feeling meh about it and eventually putting it down. All of this book doesn't resonate with me, but some of it really does, and I love Le Guin's translation. She has interesting notes as well. One of my favorite passages: To bear and not to own/to act and not lay claim/to lead and not to rule.

Sunshine by Robin McKinley
Reread. This was also the right book at the right time! I read it while camping out alone in the winter forest and needed some comfort reading. I just love this book--the narrative voice, the worldbuilding, the loving descriptions of baking, how the magic works. Should've re-read it before Yuletide and then I could've written a treat for it. Maybe I'll write something anyway.

I have really loved some of the McKinley I've read, but not all--Shadows felt too rambling and plotless to me, but then I've seen other people describe Sunshine that way too.
