Dog photos

I was asked for dog photos, so here you go. These are not my dogs, but belong to my housemate N. Which is a perfect situation for me! I can cuddle them, but I don't have the responsibility for them. They are both sighthounds and are rescue dogs from Spain, probably abandoned hunting dogs who are mixes of podenco and galgo.

This is Faira. She often goes running with me, since she is good at not stopping to sniff every minute, though every time we go out she acts like I'm committing cruelty to animals by taking her away from her beloved N! But only until we get out the door, after that she's fine.


This is Foxy. She is a diva--look at her crossed paws and beautiful ears. If you don't pet her well enough, she will poke you with her paw until you do. Also she has the softest belly!

I know, right? I've tried it, but Foxy is a bad influence--she stops to sniff, eat grass, etc, all the time, and it's hard to keep a steady pace.

Aww, they're both lovely. (I like the plants in the second picture too!) And I agree about housemates' pets—I'm in the same situation with a couple of very sweet cats and it is ideal. :)

They are very lovely! I mean, it's a good situation for my housemate too--today she had a pain in her foot and I took them out twice. But I just don't have the same responsibility for them.

Yes, Faira is good at the 'big and yearning eyes' thing. And her belly is also soft, but it's basically just bare skin--she has no fur there!

I LOVE SIGHT HOUNDS. I will probably not be able to get one as long as I have the cats, but they are SO GOOD. The greyhound rescue here does Galgos and Podencos as well, and they're such lovely weird horses. These two are clearly VERY GOOD GIRLS.

I never had a thing for sighthounds before (my thing was always for huskies) but these dogs are certainly affecting my preferences! They are so lovely.

Aww, they're so elegant, and obviously excellently well behaved - look how nicely they're posing!

I like that they've got beds next to the radiators, too. Those dogs have got their household well organised.

Foxy is very elegant, but Faira is kind of awkward, actually, though you can only see it when they're in motion!

Yes, I think they're pretty pleased with life, and coronavirus isolation just makes it better for them...
