Ta da, a podfic! : D My third longest podfic ever, though it didn't feel like it took so long. It's funny, I sometimes feel awkward recording my own stories, but that was not the case here, maybe because of the different prose style.

[Podfic] That Good Faith, To Which an Enemy as Well as a Friend Is Entitled by Luzula

Length: 5 hours 39 minutes
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply

Characters: Ewen Cameron, Keith Windham, Margaret Cameron, Lachlan MacMartin, Lady Stowe (Flight of the Heron), Earl of Stowe (Flight of the Heron), Archibald Cameron of Lochiel, Francis Delahaye
Additional Tags: Podfic, Podfic Length: 5-6 Hours, Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Character Death Fix, Enemies to Friends to Lovers, Romance, Huddling For Warmth, Sharing a Bed, Hurt/Comfort, Honor, Duty, Court Martial, Courtroom Drama, Duelling, First Time
Summary: Major Keith Windham, after aiding his escaped enemy, discovers the cost to himself, and must decide how far he is willing to go in order to help him.

And now what shall I record? I've just gotten into this habit of recording every day...I thought I might do Flemington, but sadly I have discovered that it has already been recorded (although wow, the cover someone made for it really does not fit!). Of course, there's nothing stopping me from recording a second version, if I want to. Should I? Like, if you check out the version now recorded, do you think mine would add anything? It would only be a bit more than eight hours (ha ha, it's hilarious that I now think this isn't so long). Hmm.

Or does anyone have other suggestions for what I should record (well, besides Broster, but she's not public domain yet, and I don't want to get too far ahead of events there)? I'll definitely do a few more of the shorter FotH fics, but in general I prefer longer projects, just because there's so much administration and posting if I record many short things. Of course I'll do my own current longfic eventually, but that isn't done yet.

Aha! Great. I have been very much looking forward to this. I wanted to reread, but put it off so I could re-listen instead.

That Flemington cover is quite something... Reminds me of Dungeons and Dragons *g* The text summary on Libravox is pretty good though.

Some of Broster's other works are in the US public domain, right? The Yellow Poppy, The Vision Splendid, The Wounded Name, and also (I think) Chantefable. I'm not sure if Libravox uses the same criteria as Project Gutenberg? Though I guess you may not yet have read them and discovered whether you like them enough to want to record them.

Actually Sir Isumbras and Mr Rowl would also now be eligible for Project Gutenberg, I've just realised ("As of 2020, qualifying Works published in 1924 or earlier do not have copyright protection in the U.S.")

Ah ok. I didn't realise that the reader's location also makes a difference, not just the location of the servers.

Actually I just realized that France is also a "seventy years after author's death" country...
