Ta da! Here's the alternate ending to If Fate Should Reverse Our Positions, without the major character death, because of course I want to have my cake and eat it too. OMG, counting both works, the whole thing is over 100K. : D

If you haven't read the book, it's quite possible to read this series anyway, since it goes AU from the beginning. But, like most canon divergence AU:s, there are things you won't appreciate fully if you haven't read canon.

Er, no I just read this particular part two? Because I was very excited and didn't want to stay up and start at the beginning like a normal person.

Oh I plan to! But I am very used to reading stories out of order. Plot points don't need to make sense to me for me to enjoy a story. ;-) (I am the person who reads the end of the book to see how things resolve before I read the whole book, or read the synopsis of a movie or play, etc, before I watch it. I need to know how things resolve emotionally before I invest my time, both so I can avoid things that will upset me and just to know where to put my expectations as I read/watch.

Which means that when I want to skip to the "everyone lives" part, I can, and now I can read the whole thing of the other part and be able to cope with Ewen dying because I know in my heart he didn't really. ;-)
