OMG, it's done!!

I am DONE with my draft of the Flight of the Heron poly fic!! It is 142K. *boggles* That will be quite hefty when I bind it for my bookcase, and longer than FotH, which is 128K.

On the whole, I am very happy with it! Now for editing, ha ha. I started in September and have just plunged ahead and written linearly, and it will be interesting to reread it from the start. I do know some things that need changing, but on the whole I don't think the editing will be difficult, because my drafts are pretty polished to begin with.

I could not have done this whole project without garonne, who has been the most wonderful beta reader! ♥ ♥

This is a wonderful achievement at any time, but I'm particularly impressed since you did this while the world was on fire.

Yes, the world was on fire, but in a way where I could not really do anything about it and just had to be home all the time anyway? So it was pretty conducive to writing, for me.

Ha ha, yes, you have been receiving it in chunks, so I guess it's hard to tell the length!

I'm looking forward to rereading, too--or at least, I enjoyed editing the first chapter. A lot more time has passed than usually does when I edit, and it's like reading it with new eyes.
