On the Goodreads page for Red Love by Alexandra Kollontai, a 1923 novel about a woman trying to follow her socialist ideals after the Russian Revolution, while finding that the patriarchy sucks and so do the increasingly authoritarian and bureaucratic tendencies of the communist party, the website suggests that readers might also enjoy the similar book Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand. *boggles*

A problem that happens in MANY books tbh! The bad boyfriends of literature are legion and often remain undumped.

It's perpetually remarkable to me that, with ALL THE POWER OF AMAZON behind them, Goodreads has failed every single time to recommend me a book that would actually be attractive. And I read widely!

Oh my God, Kollontai is turning over in her grave (or else joining us in facepalming while laughing). What's going to come up next, the Soong sisters?
