While I was writing the story, regshoe and I realized that we were both writing stories with a broadly similar premise, and decided to exchange our stories for beta-reading and then post at the same time, which was fun! So do check out her story, as well--I very much recommend it! Thanks to garonne as well for beta-reading along the way.

I don't know what it is about this novel that I'm so willing to wallow in the tragedy, but... sometimes the fic I really want is about how everyone is coping with their grief.
And for whatever my vote is worth, I vote for a podfic, of course. (She says, not having even read the story yet...)

Well, I'm glad you're interested in a podfic! My voice is not quite recovered from my cold yet, but it should be soon. I guess what might motivate me is to put it out a chapter at a time as I finish them, and know that somebody was interested in listening. : )
