I've been remixed! + random other stuff
Oct. 20th, 2009 08:16 pmThe remixes at
remixthedrabble are up, and there are two remixes for me. I love getting remixed, and I am eagerly awaiting the reveal so that I can see who wrote them.
Full Moon Over Chicago (The Heterozygous Gene Remix): This is a remix of my F/K werewolf story "Shifting", and I love it so much. Basically, the idea is that Ray also has shifter genes, but not a full set (thus the "heterozygous") and, well, go read it. It made me squee and capslock.
Respiration (Breathe Deep Remix). This is a lovely remix of a Fraser/Thatcher UST snippet, and it's rewritten from Fraser's POV. I love the way it uses all the senses.
In other news, this weekend I was down in southern Sweden (Malmö, to be exact) visiting my sister and one of my best friends, and my parents went there, too. It was fun, but exhausting, to cram all that social time into just a few days.
I've also been reading
tevere's Sixteen Days in September, which is an epic Generation Kill AU set in East Timor. I've seen it recced everywhere, and wow, was it worth reading. You don't need to know anything beforehand about either the fandom or East Timor. Now I feel like I'm on the brink of tracking down all the GK fic on the Internet and reading until my eyes go square. Of course, it could just be that this particular fic was really good, and I'd be disappointed by the rest of it. *tries to convince brain of this*
Okay, I'm going to post this and then pull out the Internet cable. And try to do some actual work. Oh, and I need to post a Seekrit Santa letter. I'll do that tonight.
For now, please comment at the LJ entry.
