Recently bound books

My latest batch of books! \o/

This is my own Flight of the Heron werewolf series A Double Nature. It's an Italian paper, a recreation of a renaissance pattern, and I like way the green interlocking pattern matches all the nature description in the book.

This one is a collection of my due South novellas, with a chiyogami paper that I like for suggesting the white of snow.

A collection of stories, mostly Flight of the Heron but also The Wounded Name and my Jill fics. A very pretty rose-patterned Nepalese Lokta paper.

This is K J Charles' Henchmen of Zenda, which I was delighted with and wanted in my bookcase (I've bought the ebook, but there isn't a paper version available to buy...). Another Nepalese Lokta paper, and I think the brash gold pattern matches the swashbuckling nature of the book.

And now I'm trying to resist looking at further pretty papers on the internet...

Actually I feel like I'm on a plateau now? I just use the same technique for all my books...I guess the thing I'd most like to learn is having stamped letters on the spine for titles etc, but I think that would be difficult with my hope set-up.

Yes! It's not like I don't use them--I've almost used up the last batch I bought, although I still have a lot of those marbled papers I used a lot in the beginning, that I got from a friend. It's the freight cost which makes me hesitate, because I can't find sellers in Sweden for these kinds of papers.

Thank you! : ) Yes, that's a lot of the fun. I have almost run out of the batch of papers that I bought a while ago, but I still have a supply of those marbled papers I used in the beginning.

Thank you! It's true, I've used up many of them now, though I still have some left. And I've got lots left of those marbled papers I got from a friend. So I ought to hold off a little longer on buying new ones...

Thanks! And yes, I do think this is a very good use for a pretty paper! Some sites advertise these kinds of papers as a wrapping papers, which I think is a bit of a waste, not to mention expensive. But it's true, some people do open presents carefully and save the paper.
