Dec 20: 750 words of a new story. I suspect it's derivative garbage, but eh. If there was ever a place for delicious-but-derivative garbage, AO3 is it. (Making it delicious is tomorrow's problem.)

It might be derivative, but that doesn't mean it's garbage. Especially if it's also delicious. : ) What fandom is it? *curious*

Alas, it is the Season of Secrets, so I cannot answer that question.

Oh, no, I agree! 'Derivative' and 'garbage' are independent axes.

In this case, 'garbage' was shorthand for 'not working for me', I suppose. In general, it's a trope I very much enjoy, much beloved of fandom, etc., so you'd think it'd work for me, but eh, it's feeling very paint-by-numbers. Whereas it should be something I'm chortling over in evil delight.

Day 20: 952 words of "Alpha Beta Omega Dalla Dalla." I solved one problem and started another, plus set myself up to write a really fun scene next time: Yeji, the leader and most competent member of Itzy, has to ask one of the other members for advice about a personal problem, and the only one available to help her is Yuna, the oblivious airhead of the group!
