Bonus farm news: I was applying my new-won knowledge of proper lifting technique today when I was stacking firewood, and did every instance of picking up wood very mindfully, and lo, it works! \o/ It didn't make my back tired, and it feels like my butt got a workout. : D I'm really trying to ingrain this, and using it even when just picking up a sock from the floor, but it does take some time to make it automatic.

Dec 13th - 1079 words. Finished yesterday's fic, expanded a 1character sentence, editing on a fic, and a triple drabble.

Some years are always going to be better or worse than others, but we keep writing despite all the things that crop up to interrupt the flow of words. I hope next year will be a better writing year for you, but whatever happens, eery word is an achievement.

When I came home this evening we had a dead wild boar hanging from a rafter in one of the sheds

Oh, wow. I'm glad to see that on subsequent days you managed to sort out what to do with it!

Checking in for days 9-13: I wrote an average of 500 words a day and I am now back on track for this 15000-words-a-month goal that I had for November and December.

Checking in for days 7-14. I haven't been online for a while as lordhellebore spent a few days with us. Writing happened, if not that much in the way of new words, but at least about 200 words every day. But we talked writing, meta, plotting and fic ideas in general all the time, as we usually do. I'm back in a much better writing headspace by now and ended up with about 1k for a new drawer fic draft yesterday. I don't really need yet another plot begging to be written, but OTOH - inspiration! motivation! words! So I'm not complaining. ;op

It is! Very belatedly also a Happy St. Lucia to you and yours! Inspired from that cute scene from the Findus books, we celebrated it by placing an electrical tealight on Viggo's head and doing a bit of singing.
