Bonus farm news: So much delicious Christmas food! Mmmmmmmm.

Yay, delicious food! We will be doing maple-and-bacon roasted brussel sprouts, game hens with sausage-and-fennel stuffing, Neapolitan chicory (sauteed with anchovy, capers, garlic, and raisins), and roasted squash with cranberry filling. All the vegetables come from a local farm. Should be tasty tasty tasty.

Dec 25. Moved our Christmas plans to next week, so spent a chunk of the day just chilling. A thousand words, so far, and I wonder if it's possible to get this posted before the end of the year.

ETA: 1800 words, and a finished story! Hurrah, we will have silliness for Hogmanay! (Or a little bit before!)

...also we have had such a nice time goofing off that we have forgotten to cook and have consequently dialled our dinner menu waaaaaaaay back. ;-) Chicory, game hen, and stuffing, and that will still be a lovely dinner.
