Does Ewen keep a journal, and if so, what are his impressions of Keith? Do any of the canon events (or events in some AU of canon) end up in any newspapers? Do future in-universe historians write articles about Keith and Ewen (and if so, do the 21st century historians argue with the 19th century ones)? I would also love correspondence between any of the characters.

What I enjoy most about the book is Jill’s talkative and independent POV, and her huge crush on Kitty. But I would love to get Kitty's POV on what she thinks of Jill, perhaps in a journal of hers! Or perhaps Jill and Kitty exchange letters after they part? Do any of Jill and Kitty's shenanigans ever end up in newspapers? What do Jill and Kitty do during WWI, when they are in their fifties?

Does David keep a secret diary--or perhaps Alan keeps one? Perhaps we could get to read some of their correspondence when they are apart? It would also be interesting to have either of them correspond with someone else and for the Alan/Davie relationship to be implied/suggested in the letters. Or perhaps some in-universe future historian writes an article about their relationship, comparing the text of the book with what is revealed by other evidence they left behind?

I would love to read Barrington's correspondence with his sister! Lavinia is great. Or, of course, you could write me some correspondence between Hervey and Raoul. The post-canon scenario I would love for these two is for Hervey somehow to be captured by Raoul and the tables turned, but perhaps that might be difficult to write in the form of journals/letters. (I would prefer that Barrington not lose another ship in an embarrassing manner, though--poor man.) Although that scenario might work as journal entries? As for Lieutenant Hunter, perhaps he engages himself somehow in trying to get Raoul's sentence lightened, after being so impressed by his sense of honour?

I admit that my interest in this pairing was sparked by having read this series and wanting Elizabeth to have her cake and eat it too! But I'm interested in all sorts of takes on the characters, not at all limited to the context of that fic. How might the three characters come together in the context of canon? Is there prior Fitzwilliam Darcy/Colonel Fitzwilliam? You can give me a glimpse of pre-relationship tension, an established relationship scene, or some turning point in the relationship - whatever you want, expressed in letters between them, or in the journal/diary of one of them.
Things I enjoy in general: fork-in-the-road AU:s, historical specificity and period language, outside POV, the way that letters are often constrained so that characters have to hint at their feelings or might feel the need to project some image of themselves.
Things I don't enjoy: Change-of-setting AU in historical canons (but I love canon divergence, and I also enjoy adding supernatural/fantasy elements to the canon setting), non-con/dubcon, infidelity, body horror. Please treat canonical female love interests kindly, if they appear in the fic.
