Major fail

Okay. I, um, do not know how this happened, and I'm kind of embarrassed to tell you about it, because it's so incredibly stupid. I got the dates for Bitching Party mixed up. I thought it was the weekend before. This means that my flight is 4.30 on Sunday afternoon, and I will have to leave the con early.

How on earth could I do something like that? Obviously, I can't change my flights now.

Yeah, this means that I am free the weekend before BP, so if any of you local people want to hang out then, I am obviously at your disposal. Or maybe I should just jump into Puget Sound and rid the world of my stupidity (no, I don't mean that).

I once took a trip where we completely screwed up the dates on our reservations and the airlines were surprisingly helpful about the misunderstanding. Try contacting them before you despair entirely. They may say no, but they just might say yes.

Thanks for the tip--I can try that. And it could have been worse. I mean, I could have missed the con dates entirely.

Hmm, I don't know why I feel so embarrassed about screwing this up, but I kind of want to sink through the floor. Oh, well.

I originally had a flight out at 1:00 on Sunday, because i had it in my bullum brain that the con would be done by then. I was able to switch for a fee, but that was about a month ago.

WE WILL STILL HAVE LOADS OF FUN!!

I kind of had good luck with the bad luck, actually--I mean, what if I'd decided to have most of my visit before the con rather than after? I might have missed the whole thing. So it could have been a lot worse.

Actually, I think my strongest feeling about missing the dates is embarrassment. I wanted to sink through the floor.
