Now that I'm done with my Big Bang, I'm itching to write something else! Here are some of my current ideas:

- The next installment in my series about Fraser's youth (the first are Leaving Home and Depot). It would be about Fraser's first posting, and I have some ideas for it, but I haven't planned it out. I'm pretty sure it would come together if I started writing it, though.
- More werewolf fic! This one would be a casefic with Bob, Buck and werewolf!Caroline in the late fifties, before Fraser was born. I totally love this idea, but I suspect it would need a fair amount of research (although I've already read some books that are good background for this). There would be Bob and Buck partnership, and Caroline would be awesome.
- A superpower F/K AU, in which Fraser and Ray work at the Department of Magical Crimes. This would be fairly easy to write, I think (if I don't get stuck on the casefic aspects). The worldbuilding would be fun, and I've already written a little bit of it.
- I've got an old WIP which is a Fraser/Thatcher genderfuck story, where Fraser is turned into a woman and solves a case together with Thatcher. Or actually, it's more of a gen story that focuses on their working relationship, with about the same amount of UST as in the show. I'd really like to finish it, but I've gotten hung up on the casefic plot. Maybe I should give it another try.
- A historical F/K AU, where both Fraser and Ray end up on one of the Northwest Passage expeditions. Not the Franklin one, because that would only end in angst and lead poisoning. Maybe Amundsen's expedition? Fraser could work for the Hudson's Bay company, and he'd have been brought up by his grandparents, who would have been Moravian missionaries. He could go along as a local guide and interpreter, and Ray could be a mechanic for the ship. Also, it would be cool to write this as Fraser's journal. I've certainly read enough Arctic expedition journals from this time period that I could at least attempt the style. Wow, this would need research, though.

Yeah, I think these are the story ideas I'm most interested in at the moment. Hmm, which one would you most want to read?

My vote would be for either the first or the second one. I'm in loooove with your Werewolf!verse BUT I'd be totally SQUEEE to hear your account of Fraser's first posting.

That it's not to say that I'm feeling handwavey about the rest of your WIP. That F/K in Magical Crimes!verse made me stand up and listen just like the one of F/K Arctic expediton!verse.

I guess I'm just hungry for Gen!fic.

But then, you'd know that, would you? ;)

ETA: I'm not meaning to hate on your female!Fraser/Thatcher UST WIP. As it happens, genderswap is one of my squicks. I'm sure there are plenty of other people who'd love to see that. Weird about her squicks Luce is weird about her squicks.

I can't choose between the werewolves and the NW Passage. Fraser and Amundsen would get on SO WELL.

ALL of them!!!!

I love your fic.

But if I had to choose, more young Fraser and then the Northwest Passage AU. Lots of research there, but probably enjoyable research when done midwinter.

Not the Franklin one, because that would only end in angst and lead poisoning.

That shouldn't make me laugh, right? It did, though. /o\

And I am quite excited about all of these, but especially the superpower AU. I am hugely fond of superpower AUs of all sorts. :D

And like Aria, Not the Franklin one, because that would only end in angst and lead poisoning made me laugh.

As everyone can guess, I vote for the story with Thatcher! Not just for Meg, but also because the premise interests me.

RIGHT. :D And they are similar enough that if you wanted to let yourself off the hook, you definitely could. I am in the same lack-of-plot boat as you, though -- or more accurately, it'd be the plot of s3/4, but I haven't figured out how to rehash it without making it boring, and with making it sufficiently clear that Fraser is insane. ONE DAY.

And yes, a friend and I came up with the werewolves idea about ... mm, less than a week before I stumbled across your werewolf universe. So there is definite brainsharing. :D On the other hand, it does seem like Fraser-the-werewolf is just a strangely logical place to go. Who knows!

I am completely predictable. You already know what I will say!

Series about Fraser's youth is already one of my all time favorites. I will swoon with glee if you continue it.
