Podfic ideas?

I'm in the process of wrapping up a couple of podfic projects, and don't really have anything lined up after that. What do you think I should record?

Uh, I can't promise I'll record your suggestion, obviously--I just want some help with brainstorming, because there are so many awesome stories out there, and I'm sure I'm forgetting about many of them.

I did sign up for podremix, and that'll be exciting. (I'm totally hoping to be assigned malnpudl so I can record "A Natural History of the Watch"--one of my all-time favorite WW stories. Which is kind of a silly thought, because I could record that even without podremix. Maybe I will.)

As for suggestions... hmmm... almost nothing by joandarck has been recorded yet, and that is a crying shame. More by secretlybronte would be lovely, too.

I like Mal's suggestions. Also I'm dying for someone to record How the Ray Was Won and if you recorded Q's new S&A poem I would die of glee.

And yes, that's true about joandarck--there seems to be only one short story recorded of hers. I think zabira was in the process of recording "After the Nile", before she drifted away from podficcing? But anyway, those are good suggestions!

Huh, I haven't even read "How the Ray Was Won". I'll put it on my to-read list, although I'm more likely to record F/K/V than K/V. I have a couple of Vecchio-POV stories that I'd love to record, but I don't quite have a handle on his voice. Maybe I should watch a couple of S1-2 episodes and study his speech patterns.

Your Fraser voice is a thing of beauty, this may be a reasonable preference on your part. The reason I thought it would suit you is that HtRWW has a marvelous fantasy aspect to it and you're so good with that.

About Q's poem, I get that. I wish I could do it justice myself. I hope somebody can, it really deserves it.

Yes, that's a good idea! I do love reading WW. If I do that one, though, it's going to be the angstiest thing I've ever recorded.
